21st Century Breakdown – Green Day

Part of the album that carries the same name, “21st Century Breakdown” is a song written in 2008 and released in 2009.

The last one to born the first one to run – it is related to the song of Bruce Springsteen “Born to Run”

Then he talks about the modern years and the generation of his sons (class of 2013); he talks about heroes and cons, about being an individual different than the others or being one of the many.

It is a breakdown of the American dream that the society needs to face and Green Day gives a warning to all of us.
