How do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?

The three of us get together with an idea to write about, and we normally have a producer with us. From the initial idea, we all talk about personal experiences we’ve had, and we try to come up with clever, sing-able ways to write it.

In your opinion, what is the most important thing in songwriting?

Having a song that people can relate to, or that touches people’s emotions.

Are you ever scared of revealing aspects of your personal life/experience to strangers through your music?

No, we are always willing to share ourselves in the hope that it means something to someone.

What is the best lyric you ever wrote (the most meaningful for you)?

“For me there’s only you.”

What inspired your latest single, “7 Billion”?

We came to the writing session with the idea that out of 7 billion people in the world, it’s so crazy that we could be lucky enough to find one person that means everything to each of us.

And “Sweater”?

We were all thinking back on previous relationships, how our crushes would always borrow our clothes (sweaters), and that feeling we got thinking the relationship would last forever.

Do you remember the day you wrote “Mona Lisa”?

Yes, we were hanging out with a good friend of ours, talking about how our wives were way out of our leagues, and we thought, how did we get away with this masterpiece?

Is there a link/a common theme among the songs of the new album?

Not really, we tend to write songs about what’s going on in our lives at the time.

What is the best suggestion your producer gave you?

When we first wrote “7 Billion,” no one really liked it, but he suggested we switch the hook and the chorus, and that made all the difference.

What are your plans for 2019?

We will be releasing a new album this year, so a lot of new music is coming soon. We are also booking shows so we can play live for our fans.

To conclude the interview, a short Q/A session. Please answer the first thing that comes to your mind:
