How do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?
I usually write exactly what I’m feeling at that particular time. It tends to be then I’m having to take long journeys on public transport.
What is the best verse you ever wrote?
I don’t think i could pick a particular one if I’m honest, but in my opinion the verses in Pack of Wolves are some of the cleverest I’ve written so far in my career
And the one of your favourite song (not written by you)?
It would definitely have to be “9 Crimes” by Danien Rice!
“Leave me out with the waste,
This is not what I do
It’s the wrong type of place
to be thinking of you
Is the wrong time
for somebody new”
Can you tell us more about the song “Broken Toy”?
This song is about a past relationship and still having feelings for that person when they have, themselves moved on.
The video is about finally letting go of that person and putting the memories and hope that things may work out finally to rest.
What inspired “Park of Wolves”?
Pack Of Wolves is written about family conflict I’d rather not go into, as I feel the song can be interpreted into many different meanings.
Your new EP “ALL I SAID WAS NEVER HEARD” will be released in January, is there a link between all the songs, lyrically speaking?
Many of my songs have been written to vent out emotions and issues I have had in the past.
Do you remember the day you wrote “Better With”?
The lyrics from better with, where taken from three separate songs I had written over the space of two years. So I can’t exactly pin down a specific date, but each song was written in my bedroom.
What music means to you?
Everything, my whole life evolves around music.
I honestly don’t know where id be without it.
What makes you happy in life? And upset?
Watching lord of the rings on repeat while drinking earl gray tea.
