The most rock festival of the Italian summer unveils the headliners of the 2018 edition, scheduled from June 14 to 17 at the Visarno Arena in Florence. An extraordinary line-up for a festival that in the past year has welcomed 140,000 fans from all over the world and will be joined by other big names in the coming weeks.
Tickets will be available in pre-sale in the next few days on the Florence Rocks App – for Android and iOS – developed in collaboration with the digital company bitdrome. Afterwards the tickets will be pre-sales on the circuits www.ticketmaster.it and www.ticktetone.it.
Florence Rocks 2018 will start on Thursday 14 June with the only Italian date of the FOO FIGHTERS. For over twenty years one of the most famous rock bands in the world, after the long series of sold-out ringed in 2017, will return to Italy in the wake of the success of the Concrete and Gold Tour (from the title of the new album released on September 15th debuted at # 2 on the album and vinyl sales rankings).
To put it in the words of Dave Grohl: “There is still someone who makes rock records, let’s go and conquer this f##ing world”.
Another exclusive for Italy, the concert of the GUNS N ‘ROSES, Friday, June 15 always at the Visarno Arena in the context of Florence Rocks 2018.
For Axl Rose and companions a return to the furor of the people, after the extraordinary sold-out concert the last summer in Imola in front of 80,000 spectators.
Since its debut in 1985, the Guns N ‘Roses have dominated the world rock scene, thanks to their wild and overwhelming attitude, earning the title of one of the most important and influential bands of all time, a reference point for millions of fans in all the globe. The Guns N ‘Roses’ are Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Melissa Reese ( keyboard).
The latest Not In This Lifetime Tour tour has sold over 2 million tickets worldwide in 2016.
Saturday 16 June will be the turn of the IRON MAIDEN, after the huge success of the previous world tour to support their 16th studio album The Book of Souls.
The band will be back in concert in Europe in 2018 with their Legacy of the Beast World Tour, inspired by the mobile game and the comic book of the same name, with a set list that will include the band’s biggest hits and some surprise songs from the last album.
The manager Rod Smallwood said: “Legacy of The Beast is a perfect theme for this tour because it gives the group the opportunity to express their creativity and have fun, especially Eddie! There will be many changes of scene in perfect Iron Maiden style and we want to give fans an unforgettable experience with our show! “.
The OZZY OSBOURNE tour will begin in May next year in Mexico and will be the farewell tour. The singer, inserted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will celebrate Sunday 17 June on the stage of Firenze Rocks over five decades of career, as a soloist and frontman of the Black Sabbath.
Also for OZZY, this is the only Italian date.
The new tour will mark the farewell from the boxes after over 2,500 concerts worldwide. “People keep asking me when I will retire – says Ozzy – this will be my last world tour, so after that it will be more difficult to see me on stage”.
OZZY will be accompanied by his loyal collaborators: Zakk Wylde (guitar), Blasko (bass), Tommy Clufetos (drums) and Adam Wakeman (keyboard). Also on Sunday 17 June, on the stage of the Visarno Arena, two more similar columns awaited: the historians JUDAS PRIEST, over 40 years of career and winners in 2010 of the Grammy Award for the best ‘metal performance’ and the AVENGED SEVENFOLD, who have just published the deluxe version of the acclaimed “The Stage”, which adds original, cover and live to the original.
And this is just the starter of Florence Rocks 2018!
