RYL: Your new album “BE BORN” will be released soon! How was its preparation? Which is its major achievement?
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: The preparation for be born came mostly from playing live. We took magnets on the road last year and started writing in a live scenario. So that changed writing a lot. I would say the biggest achievement are the songs.
Developing our sound even further.
RYL: What inspired the lyrics of “Drug Money”?
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: The lyrics of Drug Money deal with not compromising your vision.
RYL: Which is the main difficulty in making new music today?
MAGNET AND GHOST: I think the biggest difficulty with making music is choosing a path and staying with it.
There are a lot of options today when it comes to creating. You can spread yourself thin if you’re not careful. It’s important to keep a specific focus.
RYL: Do you remember how you wrote “Here To Save Me”?
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: Yes, I do actually. I was searching for a little something more than what the moment was giving. I wanted to write a song about finding sanction and peace with my current situation.
RYL: how do you, usually, write the lyrics of your songs?
MAGNET AND GHOST: Dean and I write lyrics in different ways. A lot of the time we will individually get a song to where we feel good about it. Then we will bring it to one another and finish it. Other times we will start from scratch and do it all together. It varies..
RYL: Which is the best verse you ever wrote?
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: The one I haven’t written yet..
RYL: We give you 1$ to spend in purchasing a song, what would you buy? And…….which one you will never buy?
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: It really depends on where I’m at musically at the moment. I’ll really attempt to listen to anything. It’s always changing.
RYL: You will be touring very soon? tell us more about it…..
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: We will be doing a few shows in November. The idea is to put together a much longer run next year.
RYL: Which was the last song you wrote?
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: For the EP? I’m Not The Devil
RYL: Tell us everything about “OFF My Mind”
MAGNET AND GHOSTS: I think that one is self explanatory.. I’ll let the listener draw his or her own conclusion
