1975 Punk Rocker Patty Smith started her career with the first album: “Horses” and she became legend.

Her songs have a right balance between poetry and rock n roll.

Patty won several prices for her poetry but also for her music; the most famous song she wrote was “Because the Night” written together with Bruce Springsteen.

Dancing Barefoot is part of the fourth album of Patty Smith released in 1979; “wave”  and talks about Jeanne Hebuterne that was a muse for the italian painter and artist Modigliani.

The story of Jeanne is a story of love that last till the day she died suicide after the death of his only one love Modigliani due to illness.

The same love that Patty Smith is trying to describe in her song.

Maybe now Jeanne Hebuterne is dancing barefoot together with his loved one, forever.
