HAERTShave releasedNew Compassion, the highly-anticipated follow-up to their 2014 self-titled record – (PRESS HERE to listen).
You can also watch HAERTS perform “New Compassion” and “The Way” from New Compassion live at the NPR’s World Cafe Studio / WXPN in Philadelphia.
Following their split with Columbia Records after the release of their 2014 self-titled record, which featured their breakout hit “Wings” and gathered praise from major media and slots on major festivals, the band struggled with the sudden anxieties that accompany a shift in life. So, the band left New York City for the isolation of the Hudson Valley, Nini Fabi and Benny Gebert – set out to freely create something, regardless of outcome, choosing busy hands over lingering sorrows. The rawness in the emotions of New Compassion have already begun to ripple throughout listeners.
About the song”Matter” the bandmates explain, “it is about letting go, showing who you are and giving love, and trusting that by doing that the universe will take care of you.” It fits well with the overall story of how HAERTS had to dust themselves off a bit to get to the release of New Compassion.
HAERTS are also set for a North American tour throughout late November and early December. Tickets are available if you PRESS HERE and dates and full can be found here:
