A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: We feel with the other EPs we had a lot of fun experimenting with what we want A Mouth Full of Matches to be about.
But with our upcoming EP we really wanted to create a strong unison of songs that really represent us as a band and shows our passion for what we do.
We’re hoping fans can really relate to the lyrics and we definitely think that the songs will get people moving at our live gigs!
RYL: Let’s talk about the song “Demon Days”, what it means for you?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: Well Demon Days is about having somebody in your life who means a lot to you, yet you kind of know they’re toxic and are slowly realizing it.
RYL: Is there a common meaning/theme between all your songs?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: Most of the themes of our song are pretty hopeful and positive. We want to try and connect to as many people as possible.
RYL: Do you remember the day you wrote “Let’s Burn Beautiful”?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: We don’t remember the specific day but those lyrics will definitely always be some of our favorites.
RYL: how do you, usually, write the lyrics and music of your songs?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: It’s usually a back and forth of ideas between everybody. It can start off with a basic riff and escalate into something that just works with everything else.
We try and think of a theme for the lyrics and the general message of the song and then ideas just go from there.
We find the song writing experience really rewarding and we love going to record and hearing everything come together.
RYL: Which is your favorite punk rock song (lyrically speaking)?

RYL: Which is the most important thing for you while doing music? And the best achievement of your career?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: We definitely thing the most important thing is staying true to ourselves.
The biggest achievement was getting through to the Redbull competition to play Download Festival, we were blown away with everybody’s support.
Another achievement is just getting to be in a band with your best friends every day!
RYL: Which is the best verse you ever wrote?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: this is definitely a question we’d have to ask our fans! Also it would be too hard to choose for us we have different favourites!
RYL: Which is the last song you wrote (not published yet)?
A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: we will be releasing a couple of tracks very soon! Keep your eyes peeled!

July 3rd at Ruby Lounge, Manchester
July 18th at Lincoln Imp, Scunthorpe
July 29th at Sound Control, Manchester
We will also be heading around UK cities in September, more information will be released on that soon!

A MOUTH FULL OF MATCHES: Danger High lyrics are about having that one person in your life who makes you want to be alive every day and be wrapped up in there awesomeness!
