How do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?

There are several ways this can happen. I very rarely write a whole lyric before the music.

I’ve started to make a point of keeping notes of song titles which I can develop later.

A lot of my songs come from spontaneously singing something off the top of my head when playing guitar or keyboard .

I’m then usually stuck with this title because nothing I try later ‘sings’ as well as this original random phrase.

What is the best verse you ever wrote?

I’m insecure about my lyrics as I know they’re often borderline cliche and corny but I hope that if they’re delivered well someone somewhere will relate.,it’s not the first time that I’ve had the sense that something’s wrong

I’m old enough to know that things don’t always work out like you planned
I know you’re trying hard to break it too me gently
But there’s no easy way to tell it like it is’
(I don’t want to hear anymore)

And the one of your favorite song? (Not written by you)

I bought a toothbrush, some toothpaste, a flannel for my face
Pyjamas, a hair brush, new shoes and a case
I said to my reflection
Lets get out of this place
(Tempted)
