Kim Petras has been chosen as one of Spotify’s RISE artists, an exciting emerging artist program launching today.
RISE is designed to identify and break the next wave of music superstars through Spotify’s unmatched cultural influence and 140+ million music fans.

Kim’s debut single “I Don’t Want It At All” (PRESS HERE) quickly amassed more than3 million Spotify streams in just weeks and went to #1 on the Global Spotify Viral Chart just four days after release.
It’s a buoyant, fun track, which Kim teamed up with Aaron Joseph, Dr. Luke, Cirkut and Lil Aaron to create. She also recently released her two new singles “Hills” ft. Baby E(PRESS HERE)and “Hillside Boys” (PRESS HERE).
Both tracks were featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday upon release.
Since her childhood in Cologne, Germany, Kim has been in love with pop music. It was a window into the bigger world outside of her little town.
Kim notably began transitioning with female hormone therapy following her twelfth birthday before making worldwide headlines as the youngest person to receive gender reassignment surgery at the age of 16.
Her experiences and bravery are subtly present in her music and her debut single perfectly showcases her imaginative artistry and unique brand of escapism.

Spotify kicks off RISE with 4 genre-diverse artists; pop sensation Kim Petras; pop/rock artist Lauv; country singer Russell Dickerson; and hip hop artist Trippie Redd.
Launching in the U.S, Canada and the U.K., the program will add 4 new artists every few months, supporting a total of 16 emerging artists per year.
