Le Butcherettes Unveil ‘struggle/STRUGGLE’, The First Video Off Latest EP

Le Butcherettes have unveiled the video for ‘struggle/STRUGGLE (bi)’. The track is featured on their ’struggle/STRUGGLE‘ EP which contains three different interpretations of the song.

“The struggle is never ending. As a latina woman, the constant battle within a steaming pool of perverted wagging tongues becomes a part of life which on a sadly angled upside only makes for thicker skin… yet none of those struggles can compare to the internal fight of self-versus m/other, m/other versus your world” – says frontwoman, Teresa Suárez Cosío (Teri Gender Bender) when describing the first version of the single.

The video was filmed in Los Angeles and Lancaster and directed by NOUN who also directed the video for the band’s last single, ‘spider/WAVES’.

Both the ‘struggle/STRUGGLE’ EP and ‘spider/WAVES’ were produced by Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads and The Modern Lovers, who’s previous production credits include No Doubt and The Violent Femmes. The band most recently toured the UK and Europe in a string of wild dates with At The Drive In and Death From Above.
