Yes, my debut album comes out on December 1st.
It’s something I have been working on for some time now and I just can’t wait to share it!
What inspired the verses of “Home”?
Home is a special song for me as it’s one of the first singles I released.
The inspiration came when I realized that what we call “home” doesn’t necessarily have to be a location, it can easily be a person that makes us feel the most comfortable, and is always there for the good times and the bad, that person can be “home.”
Do you remember writing “Gone”?
Yes, I do. It’s always funny when I hear that song. I was young, and trying to put into words what “love at first sight” feels like.
What is the best verse you ever wrote?
Every verse has its own meaning, it can be something innocent and fun, or dark and tough.
I wouldn’t like to say one verse is particularly better than the other, the beauty of music is that it’s subjective and depending on the context or mood you can react and relate to it differently.
How do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?
My songs are based on events that I went through, or my friends and family have experienced.
The process is always different, it either starts off as a poem and I work the melody around it, or vice versa.
What is the last song you wrote?
The last song I wrote is called “Solo” on my debut album. I can’t wait to share it with you!
What does music mean to you?
Music means everything to me.
I truly believe that it’s a universal language we can all relate to and has many therapeutic aspects. It’s amazing to see just how much one song can have an effect on someones life.
What makes you happy in life?
If I can have an impact on one person’s life, be it small or large, then I’m happy.
