How do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?

I write about subjects that have my interest and I want to know more about.

I love to do research on the subject that I choose. When I know a lot about it, I start writing my lyrics.

It depends on the subject whether I write about a person or I write it like I have experienced it myself.

What is the best verse you ever wrote?

That’s a hard question! I keep it on Celebratory Gunfire.
It’s a catchy verse and not that hard to remember. I see a lot of people in the crowd singing along with me so that’s what it’s all about!

And the one of your favorite song ?

It is “The show must go on” by Queen.

It’s because of the deeper meaning of that song.

The song is about the effort of Freddie Mercury continuing to perform despite approaching the end of his life.

For me that song is a huge inspiration and motivation.

Can you tell us more about the song “Endless Desire?

It’s about a person who does not fit in the “normal” standard. The world has created its standard and this person does not fit in.

He is acting like he is a “normal” person, has to wear a mask.

Because of that acting to be normal his desire to kill is growing and he is blaming the world for that.

Because he is wearing that burden of being “not normal” eventually it will burst out someday.

What inspired “lost in tranquillity”?

The lyrics on this song are very personal for me. It’s about a family member who is very ill and in this lyrics I am expressing my feelings.

I feel hopeless and lost that I can’t do anything about it. Life is not fair.

Are you working on new songs? Can you tell us what inspired the last song you wrote?
Yes we are! Actually, we are entering the studios in a few weeks to record a new EP. Really looking forward to that.

The new songs are about things that happened in the world very recently. Can’t tell you that much about it right now because we have to release the EP first.

Do you remember the day you wrote “Point of No Return”?

Yeah, that must be in 2008. It was the first time that I had to write lyrics because our former drummer, who wrote all the lyrics, and former singer had left the band. So that title has a double meaning.

These lyrics are about the acceleration of social and technical developments in the world this century and that this also has a dark side. It damages the world because the system is becoming unstable.

For us a as band this is also the point of no return because we started again with a new line up and change of style.

What music means to you?

Music means everything to me.

Without music the world would suck. Music is emotion, expression and happiness. Music is some kind of psychologist to me.

When I’m down or sad music helps me to get through.

When I’m happy, I listen to music. It has that magical touch. Music

What makes you happy in life?

Music!!! And animals!! And of course my relation with the most awesome man that exists and being around my family and friends.

Gigs and having beers and fun.
