The legendary singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and actress MacyGrayrevealed her first track and official video for “Sugar Daddy,” taken from her forthcoming 10th studio album titled RUBY, out worldwide digitally and on Limited Edition RUBYredVinyl on September 7 (Artistry Music, a Mack Avenue label).
Directed by Christian Lamband shot atPour Vousin Los Angeles, the video stars Macy Grayalongside Evan Ross, and is inspired byhis legendary mother Diana Ross’ portrayal of Billie Holiday in the 1972 biographical classic “Lady Sings The Blues.”
“Sugar Daddy” was co-written by Macy and fellow Grammy®-Award winning American singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor, alongside Bianca “Blush” Atterberry,Tommy “TB Hits” Brown and Thomas Lumpkins, and serves as the perfect taster of what’s to come from MacyGrayand her highly anticipated full-length RUBY.
