Mad Cool presents Andalucia Big Festival

The Regional Government of Andalucía and Mad Cool Festival present the Andalucia Big cultural project in collaboration with the city council of Málaga.

The project is divided into three parts: an international forum for professionals in the music sector, a series of concerts in Andalusian provinces and a music festival to be held next September in Malaga.

The cultural project Andalucia Big, promoted by the Regional Government of Andalucia and Mad Cool Festival, in collaboration with the city council of Malaga, has been presented today in Malaga, and aims to become the largest cultural meeting in Andalusia. The plan includes a trade fair for professionals in the music sector, a program of concerts in Andalusian provinces, in collaboration with their respective municipalities, and an international music festival in the city of Malaga.

Andalucia Big Festival will take place at Sacaba beach on September 8, 9 and 10 this year. It will feature more than fifty national and international artists, among which the first confirmed names include Muse, Jamiroquai (exclusive show in Europe), Vetusta Morla, Nova Twins, Sylvie Kreusch and Morgan. It will have three stages with a varied and eclectic musical program for all audiences: pop, indie, rock, electronic and new trends with top artists, as well as emerging talent that will make the event a unique experience.

In addition, Andalucia Live is the part of the project created to promote music venues in the rest of Andalusia, with a series of concerts that will take place in the weeks prior to the festival and will pass through several Andalusian provinces.

AMF: Andalucia Music Forum will be an international trade fair for music industry professionals that aims to become the most important professional meeting in Southern Europe. A forum that will provide direct networking opportunities and aims to be a space to unify goals and objectives of such sector. AMF will be a high-level meeting of the national music with the most important representatives of the industry in three days of meetings, panels, master classes, presentations, mentoring programs and music, in what will undoubtedly be the most important professional meeting in southern Europe prior to Autumn and Winter. AMF has been created to promote the development and evolution of the music industry and to offer business opportunities.

Also, The Paideia Galiza Foundation and EOI are joining Andalucía Music Forum with their own project to promote emerging music though the support of industry professionals. The program will be held at the Interactive Museum of Music in Malaga.

The Andalucia Big project was born from the hand of Mad Cool Festival, whose spokespersons acknowledge feeling “very happy to be able to promote music in Andalusia, with such a unique and complete project, which promotes music in all corners and at all levels“.

The event seeks to be a new social, cultural and economic engine for Andalusia. A new way to internationalize the brand, through quality tourism, that enjoys music and all the activities related to the climate, the gastronomic and touristic offer of Spain’s southern area.
