New York, NY – August 17, 2017 – GRAMMY-nominated, electro-experimental rock band MUTEMATH have released, “War,” the third track from their highly anticipated studio album Play Dead.

The coinciding video filmed by Daniel Bowen at the Dew Drop Jazz Hall in New Orleans, and edited by visual masterminds Jakub Blank & Daniel Bowen is an incredibly poignant depiction of the struggles happening in today’s America.

While unplanned, the timing could not be more perfect. “War” is a helluva gritty rock song balanced out by frontman Paul Meany’s buttery vocals.

The song has been a fan favorite ever since the band first started performing it on the road earlier this year. “I still can’t allow myself to fully resign to one side,” Meany says of the meaning behind the lyrics. “I keep finding counterpoints to every point and they nag me like a bill collector out to drain me of any currency of optimism.

Maybe this constant trial of ideas… is life.””War” is now streaming

Fans can pre-order Play Dead ahead of its September 8th release.
