The uptempo track features quick scene changes, abrasive electric guitars, a horn section, and Hammond B3 Organ. Recorded as a collaboration by Tyler at his home studio, Producer / Engineer Christopher Hawthorne‘s (Matthew Mercury / Francesca Blanchard) VT based Studio 150, and Producer / Engineer Matt Weber (A Great Big Pile of Leaves) at the Gradwell House in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, “Fallen Idol” is a song about the abuse of power.

I’ve observed a lot of family and friendships torn apart from lack of listening and understanding each other. ‘Fallen Idol’ can be interpreted as the loss of someone or something you previously held in high regard. As human beings, we can’t help but see the world through own our lens of perception and bias. When you throw chaos & power struggles into the mix, it creates a cocktail of misunderstandings and emotional walls being built up. This, unfortunately, leaves very little room for open communication.”Tyler John

Hailing from New Jersey’s Garden State, Tyler John is singer-songwriter who’s artistic expression brings to life alternative indie rock compositions.
