NYC-based indie pop artist Birch, the moniker for musician & producer Michelle Birsky, is thrilled to share her new single, “Labor Fruit.”
“Labor Fruit” is Birsky’s second offering of 2018, following previous single “femme.two,” and accompanied by a music video. Birch will be releasing her debut record, femme.one, in early 2019, from which “femme.two” and “Labor Fruit” are singles, and if you’re based in NYC, you can catch her at Elsewhere in Brooklyn next Friday, November 17th. Birch has been releasing music and making waves in the Brooklyn scene for a few years now. Last summer, she released Not Human.
“femme.two” & “Labor Fruit” mark just the beginning of Birch’s latest chapter, one that will continue to merge her affinity for creating moody indie pop, accented with electronic flourishes, with her incisive lyrics that tackle some of the most pressing socio-political issues of our time. Her debut album, femme.one, is coming in early 2019.
