Alt-pop band THE DRIVER ERA releases their highly anticipated single “Heaven Angel,” their first track ahead of their upcoming sophomore record, expected to release later this year. Written and produced by brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch, the track marks the next chapter for the duo after spending most of the pandemic in their garage studio crafting their new album.

With a thrumming melody & layered rhythm paired with velvety-smooth vocals, “Heaven Angel” is a punchy & dynamic track highlight’s the band’s signature ability to blend unforgettable melodies with intricate lyrics that makes this single in particular the perfect insight into The Driver Era’s new era. With their crooning voices, Ross & Rocky sing “Hard to find, you’re one of a kind, girl/Why can’t you fly my Heaven Angel/I get so shy being right by your side/it’s no surprise you caught my eye,” singing about the feeling you get when they meet someone who captivates you entirely.
The music video that accompanies “Heaven Angel” features the brothers driving in a vintage convertible until they arrive at a smoky underground club with everyone dressed to the nines and partying the night away. When Ross notices an angelic ballerina (Los Angeles Ballet’s Leah McCall,) the club & the entire club begins to fade away. With Rocky in the driver’s seat, the pair then embark on a cinematic drive around Los Angeles. The track & video both demonstrate the growth and maturity the band has experienced since their 2019 full-length debut album, X.
“Heaven Angel” follows the extensive work The Driver Era created & released throughout 2020 after their world tour was postponed due to the pandemic. In 2020 alone, the band released “Fade,” “Places,” “Take Me Away,” and the double release “OMG Plz Don’t Come Around” and “flashdrive“. Now the band prepares for the release of their sophomore record and the start of their 2021 world tour beginning this fall. The Driver Era will embark on their world tour on November 15th, starting in the United States and traveling to the United Kingdom, Europe and South America in 2022. For tickets and VIP packages, please visit www.thedriverera.com.
Since their debut in 2018 with their hit single “Preacher Man,” the brothers have self written and produced every track they’ve released, including tracks from their 2019 album X – the anthemic “Feel You Now“, the live-show crowd favorite “Scared of Heights” and their alt-radio hit “Low“. In late 2019, the guys unveiled a double release, “A Kiss” and “Forever Always,” despite being apart while Ross was in Vancouver filming Parts 3 & 4 of Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The turbo-charged “A Kiss” grasped the attention of BBC Radio 1, with spins by DJ’s Annie Mack, Mollie & Matt, and Jack Saunders. “A Kiss” currently sits at over 15 million streams.
