RIAA platinum-certified artist Shordie Shordie and GRAMMY®-nominated producer Murda Beatz have announced a collaboration album titled Memory Lane set for release in January 2021 via Warner Records. The announcement arrives with the first single from the project “Good Evening” accompanied by the Catch Rec-directed video depicting the duo shooting dice by the beach and cruising down palm tree-lined streets — soaking up the West Coast lifestyle and capturing the laid-back vibe of the song.
Both Shordie Shordie and Murda Beatz have been moving culture as solo artists and now join forces for the forthcoming project Memory Lane, entirely produced and executive produced, by Murda Beatz after a memorable night in the studio lead to fast friendship and extraordinary musical chemistry. While Shordie Shordie is having a breakout year – with over 600 million cumulative streams across platforms, the release of “Feelings” feat. Rico Nasty and his recent project >Music receiving critical acclaim from various media outlets – Murda Beatz is having a monumental year of his own. Murda produced “motive” feat. Doja Cat from Ariana Grande’s Positions, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart. He also produced several tracks on Lil Baby’s #1 album My Turn and Lil Wayne’s Funeral, along with songs for Teyana Taylor, Ty Dolla $ign and PARTYNEXTDOOR. He’s also released his own singles, “Doors Unlocked” feat. Polo G and Ty Dolla $ign and “Banana Split” feat. YNW Melly and Lil Durk.
