Sacramento rock band SLAVES is readying the release of their anticipated, intimate acoustic EP, Revision, that’s due out January 18th, 2019 from SBG Records. Today, the band has released the stripped down version of their fan favorite track “I’d Rather See Your Star Explode.” The original song is found on the band’s latest album, Beautiful Death, that was released earlier this year.
“”I’d Rather See Your Star Explode” was a very powerful track in the realignment of our bands career. In 2016, when practically everyone else threw us to the curb, we were able to team up with Erik Ron and create a single to see how we worked together before going in and doing the rest of the album now known as Beautiful Death. In my eyes, I’d Rather See Your Star Explode was a huge success and breakthrough for our band on numerous levels — not only in showing our fans that we were here to stay, but to show fans (old and new) that Slaves is not the “metal core” they once thought we were and we’re proud to continue to break boundaries with our new acoustic EP, Revision.” – Colin Vieira
Slaves’ upcoming record features 4 acoustic renditions of their most popular singles and 2 new tracks, including the recently released song “Body On Fire.” Pre-order the record now at http://smarturl.it/jz5gpg.
Additionally, Slaves are getting into the holiday spirit with a heartfelt, acoustic cover of Mariah Carey’s celebrated classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” The band has released the standalone version of the song earlier last week via a music video.
Slaves will do handful of intimate acoustic shows in California in December, before heading to Europe for a tour in January/February. Tickets are on sale now at www.SlavesBand.com.
