Slow Down is my girl power anthem. I was so sick of seeing my girlfriends get taken advantage of these guys, so one night in the studio it just came to me.
how do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?
I always have a little notebook where I write down things that inspire me.
When we get into the studio we take a look at my notes and kind of develop a song from there.
what is music for you?
Music is a mood booster for me. No matter what time of day or what mood I’m in, it always lifts me up.
what is your favorite song?
There’s one particular song on my EP that I really love.
The lyrics are so beautiful. It hasn’t been released yet so I don’t want to give it away, but make sure to check it out when it’s released later this year.
what is the best verse you ever wrote?
Right now I’m hooked on Slow Down. Every time I hear it I feel empowered and I want to get up and dance. That’s probably my favorite right now, but it’s always changing.
projects for the future? A tour? A new album?
My EP will be coming out later this year, which is really exciting. I’ll definitely be adding more live shows to my calendar so make sure to keep up with me on social media to find out when you can check those out!
what makes you happy?
Inspiring my fans is what really makes me happy. I want them to feel good when they listen to my music. It makes me happy to see them happy.
