Revered Chicago indie-punk band Smoking Popes has announced a U.S. headline tour in support of their newly released, 8th studio album, ‘Into The Agony‘, that’s out now from Asian Man Records. The February/March tour will will include opening sets from Direct Hit and will kick off in Phoenix, AZ on Feb 18th and will wrap in Denver, CO on March 1st. For nearly 3 decades, Smoking Popes have been groundbreaking pioneers in the Mid-West indie-punk scene. The band’s signature sound infuses pop and punk and features the unique, crooning vocal stylings of lead singer Josh Caterer. Since their inception the band has released 8 studio albums and has toured/shared the stage with acts like Green Day, Bayside, Jimmy Eat World, Jawbreaker, Tripping Daisy among others. Their influence and importance continues with their latest record, ‘Into The Agony’, which is their first album with the original lineup in 20 years!
