Indie pop duo The Born Love have announced the release of their debut EP Strange Days, out Friday, March 30th. Additionally, the band has unveiled new single “Colorful” from the EP – PRESS HERE to watch the video which premiered via Substream Magazine.
Powered by a track with airy beats, warm guitars and a vibrant hook that immediately takes hold, the video, created and directed by Erik Bergamini, beautifully depicts the indescribable feeling when a significant other makes your world more vibrant.
The Born Love made waves last year when they premiered their single “Badlands” via Billboard who praised its “folk-tinged alt-pop sound that recalls Local Natives and Grouplove.”
The song quickly soared to Top 15 on Spotify’s Top 50 US Viral Chart, and graced the Indie Pop and Discovery Weekly playlists in addition to going Top 10 on Hype Machine.
The duo returns in 2018 with the announcement of their forthcoming debut EP Strange Days, which they will independently release next month.
The EP features two additional, unreleased tracks – opener “Tempest” that soars through steady drums and a soothing refrain, and the closing title track that invokes the listener with a cinematic visualization through its massive crescendo.
The Born Love has been imbuing fresh futurism into universally catchy songwriting since 2010 through their songs that intentionally deepen, darken, and diversify pop music. The duo’s credits include Halsey, BANKS, and Vérité and more. The Born Love is Kevin Daniel and Aron Forbes.
