I sure am! Next month we’re planning on releasing my new big single titled “This Means War”!
How do you usually write the lyrics of your songs?
My process usually begins when something inspires me. I like to write alone but I’m not opposed to writing with others.
What is the best verse you ever wrote?
“I can’t breathe the same oxygen she does!”
What are your favorite artists? And your all-time favorite song?
I listen to all of the greats! Newer artists like Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes are so exciting to watch! Their lyrics are great and I totally respect their guitar playing!
All time favorite song is “All Time Low” by Jon Bellion!
What has your journey in the music industry been like up to now?
I’ve met a lot of really great people!
My favorite thing is playing out and getting things going with the crowd! I’m looking forward to meeting new people, making new fans, and forging new relationships with other artists and producers.
What inspired “Don’t Say”?
Don’t say is a fun summer love song that you just don’t ever want to end! That pretty much says it all…
And, “The Reason ”?
The reason is a very serious song.
It’s a song about never wanting to say goodbye and trying to hold on tight. I think a lot of people can relate to it. I was inspired to write something that shows how committed I am as an artist and a person.
Are you ever scared of revealing, aspects of your personal experience, to strangers through your music?
Funny you mention that. That’s usually when I sit and ponder the lyrics I’m writing. Sometimes I don’t want people to know I’m writing about them.
Other times it’s really important they do. It just depends on the situation I guess.
Tell us more about “Girl of My dreams”?
“Girl of my dreams” was co-written by an amazing group called The Track heads! They are so talented!
What is the best show you ever played?
That’s a tough question. I think the best shows I’ve played or the ones where I completely lose myself while I’m performing.
Kind of like being on a long drive and you arrive at your destination and you don’t remember how you got there. Just lost in the moment!
What is the craziest thing you did for a fan?
Called and sang her happy birthday! Birthdays are the best!
What are your plans for 2018?
I’m going to be playing the West Coast Fair circuit this year! I’m also going to be continuing to record new music in Hollywood.
I have several dates lined up to being studio and I’m looking forward to sharing my new music with all of my fans!
