Vanessa Zamora’s emotive vocals coupled with her personal lyrical style has captivated audiences in her native Mexico.

Only in her early 20’s the Tijuana, Baja California native has already created the aura of an artist who has been around for quite some time.  S

he’s quickly positioned herself as a steadfast interpreter of alternative pop who has two feet firmly planted in the Indie DIY world.

Vanessa’s debut album Hasta La Fantasia created a buzz amongst key tastemakers.

For her new album Tornaluna (out this Fall 2017 on Cosmica Records) Zamora teamed up with Marian Ruzzi (also known as recording artist “Ruzzi” to create a fresh, relevant long player with big splashes of Psychedelia coupled with a vibey, funkier lower end-an evolution from the melancholic debut album.

Recorded in both Mexico City and the legendary Sonic Ranch just east of El Paso- The first single from her forthcoming album Tornaluna- “HBLS MUCHO” (You talk too much, out TODAY on Cosmica Records)reels you in with a melody hook that won’t let go.

The lyrics speak of reserved person who gets swept up in the excitement and passion when you find that spark with someone else, the desire to communicate and in some cases communicate too much.

Vanessa has been nominated for multiple IMA’s (Indie Music Awards)in Mexico, and has created a touring circuit for her which has garnered more and more attention for the talented singer-songwriter.

 

Zamora has recently shared the center stage with the likes of: Natalia LaFourcade, Ceci Bastida, La Santa Cecilia, and Ely Guerra.  Vanessa has also turned her attention to the U.S. performing at SXSW, Albuquerque’s National Hispanic Cultural Institute Latin Diva’s Series, El Paso and will be opening up for Latin GRAMMY winning artist Gaby Moreno this summer at the Levitt Pavilion in Denver, CO.
