RYL: Your new album ” We’ve come a long way” will be released on the 17th November, how do you feel?
DIAMOND DAYS: We’re feeling pretty fucking awesome to be honest. We feel like this EP is just the start of Diamond Days and can’t wait for people listen to it!
RYL: What inspired the lyrics of “Let Go”?
DIAMOND DAYS: Honestly the title kind of explains it all, the song is all about moving on and fighting for what makes you happy.
RYL: Do you have a guilty pleasure in doing music?
DIAMOND DAYS: Who doesn’t haha? The best thing about this band is that we’re all out to get the same thing. Just to enjoy writing music and making people
RYL: Do you remember how you wrote “I Rewind”?
DIAMOND DAYS: ‘I Rewind’ was actually written a while back when Diamond Days first formed. It sounded completely different to how it sounds now. We’ve still got the rough demos!

RYL: how do you, usually, write the lyrics of your songs?
DIAMOND DAYS: poetry mostly, it’s why the majority of the lyrics are rhyming couplets, although most of the time the chorus is written spontaneously.

RYL: Which is the best verse you ever wrote?
DIAMOND DAYS: The second verse of you’re not alone is a personal favourite ” what can I do to finally prove I’m something to you , why can’t you see I’m what I wanna be , do you see what I see ?”
RYL: We give you 1$ to spend in purchasing a song, what would you buy?
DIAMOND DAYS: Turn down for what – Lil Jon because every car journey needs a song like that
RYL: You will be touring very soon? tell us more about it…
DIAMOND DAYS: They’re talks about Diamond Days touring next year… We can’t wait to hit the road!
RYL: Tell us everything about “Home”…
DIAMOND DAYS: ‘Home’ was really fun to write at the time because we were still trying to find our sound as a band.

Home is a journey , it’s about arelationship and the ups and downs within it , questioning whether you’re doing the right thing and if you’re right for each other, sometimes you feel like giving up but when you realise how much you’ve been through you realise that home couldn’t be anywhere else We got approached by awesome producers Seb Berrios & Arthur Indrikovs to come to Arcadium Studios in London.
This was a great experience for us at the time because we’d all been in studios before but this was shit hot! Without Seb & Art our EP ‘We’ve Come A Long Way’ wouldn’t have been possible.
They’ve become really good friends of ours and we expect to see them very soon…
